The Shining Waters Council Youth Recognition Ceremony is quickly approaching!  All recipients and Troop Scouters of the Chief Scouts Award, Medal of Maple, and Order of the Silver Key should have received an invitation. Died peacefully on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie in her 89th year. Jeannette of Stayner, beloved wife of the late Thomas Ward (January 2017). Loving mother of Sharon Lammle, William (Roxanna), Linda (Philip Stonehouse), Thomas (Sherry), Dianna (David Finnigan), Jim (Arlene) Culbertson, Robert (Helen) Parsik, Lynda (Steve McMillan) and the late Louise Parsik. We are saddened to announce that Scouter Adiran Valks (Tic-Tac) with 1st Barrie Foresters (formerly with 11th Barrie Colony) has Gone Home.  Adrian struggled one of the toughest journeys through cancer which saw raw strength and courage. A celebration of Adrian's life will be held on Saturday, May 27th, 2017 at the Steckley Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St, Barrie.  Visitation is from 12:00 - 2:00 pm, followed by the service and reception. Scouters, With the completion of the current Council Scoutstracker Administrator's term, we are now in the process of onboarding the incoming Admin.   At this time we ask all Groups to stand by as we refine and improve our processes for renewing licenses.  A further communication will follow once the onboarding is complete and the renewal processes are finalized.
